Fantastic value ENVE aero wheelset built on DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs and Sapim CX Ray aero spokes. Higher end hubs and spokes at a lower price than the stock ENVE Foundation offering, hand built in-house by PT Cycles. Rims - ENVE Foundation 65 - With a deep 65mm section the ENVE 65 offers a ton of value and is loaded with ENVE technology, like shapes derived in a wind tunnel, tuned carbon laminates, and built-in flat tire protection. The sum of these parts isn’t just a faster ride, it’s a better ride experience. For ripping fast group rides, triathlons, and setting personal bests, the 65 is ready. Hubs - DT Swiss 240 EXP J Bend - Swiss precision engineering, machining and assembly together with clever detail solutions have made of the 240 what it is today: A legend. The strengths of the new 240 hub are further enhanced with the new RATCHET EXP technology on the rear hub. The ultra-reliable freehub system transfers the highest pedalling loads resulting in direct power transmission. Just what athletes want: Perfect transmission of their power and the reliability allowing them to focus on the ride. The new EXP hub configuration allows for wider placement of the bearings in the rear hub – moving the drive side bearing over 7mm towards the dropout. Increased bearing spacing means improved rear wheel stiffness of around an extra 15%. Spokes - Sapim CX Ray Black - The CX Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. The middle section of the spoke is drawn then pressed in a special mould to form its specific profile. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world. Even downhillers use them, recognizing their strength and flexibility. We will shortly be relocating from our temporary operating base in Falmouth to Aberdeenshire. This is the final piece of the jigsaw in our move from Spain back to the UK.
During this time there will be a short period when our wheel building operation is suspended. We will however still be taking orders and talking to customers both via telephone and email.
If you are looking to place an order in the very near future then we would advise you to do so ASAP as we will be suspending our workshop operation from Friday 1st September, with a planned resumption date of Monday 9th October. Any orders taken after 1st September will be placed in our build queue and fulfilled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis once we are up and running again.
